To read all messages shared in a WhatsApp group without visiting the group, you do not need any WhatsApp mod or fancy trick. It is as simple as using the WhatsApp search (also referred to as the Omni box).

Here are the detailed steps for you.

1. Open WhatsApp on your phone.
2. Tap the search box/omnibox at the top of WhatsApp.
3. Type out the WhatsApp group name in the search.
   

Once the complete name of the WhatsApp group is typed, all the messages shared in the group will appear from the latest to the oldest.

Be careful not to tap on the message header in the search box preview, else you will end up landing in the WhatsApp group. Also, a read receipt will be generated, allowing others to know that you have viewed the messages sent in the group.

Apart from this trick, if you have your phone with you while it is unlocked and in use, whenever a new message is sent in the WhatsApp group, you can get a glimpse of the message in the notification center.

However, when there is a constant exchange of messages, keeping track of the conversation from the notification center can be confusing.

Media Files Shared in WhatsApp Group without Viewing in the Group Anonymously

Let us move into the next trick that allows viewing and ing media files shared on WhatsApp groups without ever accessing the group. You have to change the media settings for your WhatsApp to automatically save all the media shared in WhatsApp groups on your device.

1. Open WhatsApp on your phone.
2. Tap the 3-dot menu button at the top right corner and select Settings.
3. Go to Storage and Data in the settings.
   
4. Scroll to the tab Media Auto-.
5. Tap on When Using Mobile Data.
6. Select all the checkboxes beside Photos, Audio, Videos, and Documents.
   
7. Now, tap on When Connected on WiFi.
8. Enable all the checkboxes beside Photos, Audio, Videos, and Documents.
   

Now, every time a photo/video/audio/document is shared on any WhatsApp group you are a part of, that media file will auto to your device storage. You can simply visit the Files app or your phone gallery to view the file at any time.

NOTE: You can also enable auto for all types of files shared on WhatsApp groups when your device is on roaming.
