What to do if iPhone Screen is Super Zoomed

Are the icons and backdrop of your iPhone home screen super zoomed? Indeed, it can be quite problematic navigating around the screen when the icons get magnified.

The iPhone screen gets zoomed due to an accessibility feature. People with visual limitations can zoom their screen to find the apps they require to use.

After the screen zoom is enabled, double-tapping the iPhone display with three fingers will zoom in/out of the screen content. If you don’t require the iPhone screen zoom feature, make sure to turn it off this feature in the iOS settings.

Apart from this, even when iOS accessibility zoom is disabled, the screen may get magnified. It can happen due to running beta builds of iOS or any random bug in the operating system.

Tips to Fix iPhone Screen when it is Super Zoomed

that if you have some sight problem, having the zoom feature enabled will help you locate and use apps on the screen.

However, if you do not need the screen zoom feature on iOS, you can turn it off anytime. Usually, it is disabled by default on the device.

Turn off iOS Accessibility Zoom on iPhone.

Visit the iOS accessibility settings to disable the screen zoom on the iPhone.

1. Open the iPhone settings.
2. Go to Accessibility > Zoom.
3. Press the toggle next to Zoom to turn off the screen zoom.
   

If you want to enable screen magnification, following the same steps as above, you can turn on Zoom on iOS.

Update iOS

If the screen is getting zoomed even after turning off the aforementioned Zoom feature in the accessibility settings, the problem may be with a buggy iOS build.

Check for new software updates and a newer version of the latest iOS.

1. Launch the iPhone Settings app.
2. Go to General > Software Update.
3. Press Update Now if a new iOS version is available for .
   

After the iPhone reboots, check if the device screen still appears zoomed in. Upgrading the iOS should patch the bug if it was causing the screen to zoom in automatically.

Restart the iPhone

Sometimes, turning off the zoom feature in the iOS accessibility settings may not fix the problem. You may continue to see the iPhone screen getting super zoomed.

It could happen due to random system bugs. Restart your iPhone and check if that fixes the zoomed home screen content on the iPhone.

Depending on the iPhone model you use, follow these instructions to restart your device.

For iPhone X/11/12/13/14/15 Series

• Press the Volume down/Volume Up button along with the side button until you see the power off prompt on the screen.
• Drag the slider on the option Slide to Power off.
• To restart the device, long-press the side button until the Apple logo flashes on the screen.

For iPhone 6/7/8/SE 2nd Gen/SE 3rd Gen

• Long-press the side button until you see the power off prompt on the screen.
• Pull the slider on Slide to Power Off.
  
• Press and hold the side button until the Apple logo flashes on the screen to restart the iPhone.

For iPhone SE 1st Gen/5 Series or older

• Press and hold the button at the top corner to see the switch off prompt.
• Hold and drag the power off slider to turn off the iPhone.
• Long-press the top button to view the Apple logo flash on the screen, indicating the iPhone has restarted.
