Install Back YouTube App on Firestick and Fire TV 2018

YouTube App is pulled out from Firestick and Fire TV due to some dispute between to two internet giants but you can and get back the YouTube App via a 3rd party sideloading method.

Google decided to cast out its YouTube App from Firestick and Fire TV from the start of 2018. Amazon on another hand pulled YouTube App from Firestick TV prior to the Schedule and provided a little fix by redirecting the s to install the Firefox or Silk Browser to access the YouTube.com on your Fire TV.

The reasons which were given by Google for this extreme takedown action are ‘Violation of the ToS’. But if reports are to be believed there is something not so good happening between the Amazon & the Google over the online streaming services.

But today I will let you how you can get back and install the YouTube App on your Firestick TV with sideloading the App from a 3rd party source. Though I can’t guarantee how long the 3rd party App will the Fire TV but as of now, it is working fine. If YouTube App is not ed by the method below then I will find a workaround for the same and update the post.

Install and get back YouTube App on Firestick and Fire TV

The method I am going to tell is to sideload the YouTube App from 3rd party site as it is not available official App Store if Fire TV.

Step 1. Open Fire TV Home Page.

Step 2. Go to Settings.

Step 3. Under settings select the option Device and then to Developer Options.

Step 4. In Developer options Turn On the Apps from Unknown Sources.

Boom! Videos will play seamlessly with YouTube App.

Note & Conclusion: With the sideloading method above you can install the YouTube App and enjoy the content on your Fire Tv or Firestick. But in near future, if the App stops then I will come up with a workaround. Connect with us via a bookmark or a subscription.

I tried this method. The app works, sure, but for some reason, it won’t let me type anything, I have to “speak” what I’m wanting to search for. My Fire Stick remote control doesn’t have a mike, so as far as I’m concerned, this method is a bust.
