Fix- “No Subject” Text Message error on Android

Are you receiving blank messages in inbox with 'No Subject' contentless text? Here is a perfect fix for the issue and resolve the problem.

Receiving a blank SMS or MMS message saying “No subject” is quite irritating as many useful messages are without any content. If you are receiving any such contentless message then some obstructive activity is caused by other apps. You may also see a pop-up message saying ‘recipient not specified’. These is the most common problem with Samsung, Micromax, Sony and HTC smartphones. The point here is the message sent to your Android device have content but they are lost as you receive them.

How to Fix “No subject” problem of message on your device ?

This problem of data less message is caused by Hangouts messaging app. Hangouts by Google has permission to view, read and display the SMS messages. Any setting changes in this app have caused the problem. Follow the steps below to solve the problem.

  1. Open the Settings of your device.
  2. Look for option called Apps or Manage Apps and open it.
  3. Under All check for Hangouts app

  5. Problem is solved
  6. But if it still continues then either uninstall the app or disable the app if it is preinstalled

Note: If you have any other third party app installed on your Android device that can access your SMS or MMS messages then just uninstall the app. The problem will be solved.

    I got rid of Hangout and still have problems. Any text I receive as an MMS gives that message SMS messages come thru only
